General description
Inlet and exhaust system are the two main systems of an engine. The inlet system is responsible for taking air into the combustion chamber. The exhaust system is responsible for exiting exhaust gasses through the exhaust valves.
Mitsubishi Engines commonly use a turbocharged inlet system. For our smaller output engines below 100 kW also natural aspiration is used. For marine applications a water-cooled exhaust option is available, please contact your dealer.
